Are you on the look-out for an unusual and funny sleeping location with your kids, not too far away from home? Well, we’ve found it for you: the wooden barrels at the camping next to the oldest town in Luxembourg, Echternach!

We discovered this awesome sleeping location recently when we’ve attended a good friend’s birthday party at the camping. And we’ve gotten the possibility to spend the night in one of these atypical barrels. The kids and we were just delighted!

The barrels, suitable for up to 4 people, are really good designed and simply but tastefully decorated: in the front, you have a bench on each side, which can be “transformed” at night into sleeping couches. A table is hidden below the king sized bed in the rear which allows you to hang out in the cottage. Outside you’ll find a grill as well as table and benches. It’s a perfect sleeping location for families.

Next to the sanitary facilities, the camping also includes a heated pool with a children’s pool, several sports grounds, a kid’s playground as well as a bike rental service.

The camping, situated only 10 minutes away from the historical centre of Echternach, allows you to easily discover the well-known Mullerthal Trail, explore the amazing rock formations « Gorge du loup » or practice some outdoor sports around the lake or on the Sauer river.

The perfect spot for an unforgettable family weekend with a lot of fun!
