SPRING MENU BY COCOTTES

Have I already mentioned that Cocottes, the take away known for their yummy ready to eat dishes made out of healthy, varied and seasonal products, has adapted its menu for spring time? Together with some fellow food bloggers, I recently got the chance to taste some of the dishes of the new spring range.

For this spring menu, Cocottes goes even further in offering even more healthy plates and recipes. They not only use fresh ingredients, mainly bio products, but also try to prepare healthy and tasty plates. That is the reason why they now developed two new labels (on top of the existing ones already identifying the vegetarian, lactose free and gluten free plates) making it even more easy for the customers to spot the kind of food they are looking for.

You have the VEGAN label, for all the plates which are prepared without any animal products. Actually, in the new spring menu, you will find 10 new vegan recipes and 4 homemade juices!!! For all the healthy eaters out there, Cocottes has designed a SUPERFOOD label, designating the food containing a high level of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fibers and other nutrients. In summary: the plates which are good for your health. From now on, these products are clearly labeled so that you can easily spot them.

Another novelty are the colored sandwiches… They kind of look unusual but do taste great! As you probably already know, Cocottes bakes its own homemade fluffy bread and now just colors it. For the black one, they use black curry with some tiny part of coal. The red color is produced by adding beet juice to the dough and the mixing of curcuma and curry brings the yellow color. You will even find 5 different sandwiches without lactose (Scandinavian salmon, salmon tartare with guacamole, chicken satay, beef tartare and vegetarian spring) on the new menu.

And I will not forget to inform you that Cocottes did also some changes in their salads, jars (I just love their spring risotto) and miso soups…

And no more excuses for eating a good dessert! With those proposed by Cocottes, most of them are labeled ‘superfood’, which means: it’s healthy to eat them! Me for my part, I fell in love with the chia matcha with strawberries (rich in omega 6 and 9, fibers, proteins, B9 vitamin, calcium, magnesium, antioxidant and minerals – recommended for physical performance and endurance and against headaches 🙂 ) and the acerola bowl, which both seem to be good for my health.

Yes, yes, yes, Cocottes is and stays a good address to go to when you are hungry. If it is to eat in or to take away, just drop by, it’s really worth it and, who knows, maybe we’ll see each other once over there?!?
